Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Hanko mobile application ("App") or any related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hanko. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have your parent or guardian's permission.

3. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. All activity that occurs under your account is your responsibility. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

4. Acceptable Use

When using community features — including cafe votes, cafe suggestions, and drink logs — you agree not to:

  • Submit false, misleading, or fabricated cafe information
  • Manipulate voting or suggestion systems to gain unfair advantages
  • Harass, spam, or abuse other users
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the App or its APIs

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these guidelines.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Hanko (logs, reviews, votes, photos). By submitting content, you grant Hanko a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and distribute that content within the App and its services. We will not sell your content to third parties.

6. Free and Premium Tiers

Hanko offers a free tier and a Premium subscription. Premium features are subject to change. Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play under their respective terms. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not issue refunds except where required by applicable law.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Hanko is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Cafe information is community-generated and may not be accurate.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hanko and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including loss of data or profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction in the Philippines.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the App or by updating the effective date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
